GM Defense ISV

A production site built for a two-day commercial shoot: a GPS survey map drawn from the scout photography, a phone-first shooting schedule and a dailies gallery. Everything here is the working thing, with sample places and coordinates.

A GPS Survey Map

Every scout still and clip carried its own GPS fix. Averaged per location, those fixes draw the working map of the property.

  • Markers and dots. Numbered markers are the shooting areas, in shooting order. The small dots are the individual capture positions.
  • Click a marker. It opens the frames shot at that location.

02

A Schedule Built For A Phone

The run of the day for a shoot in two units, designed to be read on a phone in a field.

  • Run of the day. Blocks, vehicles, camera units and scout frames, for each of the two days.
  • Dark, light and cards. Two themes, and a card mode that swipes from setup to setup.
  • It prints. The same page prints as a clean schedule.

03

Dailies & Selects

Motion grabs and stills pulled from the footage as it came in, posted for the client the same week.

  • Motion. Nine muted loops. Click one to open it.
  • Stills. Fifteen frames. Click one to open it full size, then use the arrows.

How It Works

  1. The photos carry the positions. Every scout still and clip was shot on a phone or a drone, and each file records its GPS fix when it is captured.
  2. Folders become areas. One folder per shooting area. The average of its files' positions is the numbered marker, and each file is also drawn as a dot.
  3. Exceptions are stated, not hidden. An area with no photos borrows a neighbour's fix, a non-map place becomes a text label, and off-property frames are excluded.
  4. One source for the numbering. Marker 02 on the map is shot 02 on the list and block 02 on the schedule. All three read from the same module.
  5. Drawn with Leaflet over satellite imagery. The tactical look is a CSS filter on the standard tiles, so the imagery stays current.
  6. It feeds the rest. The same positions drive the schedule's scout thumbnails and map links, and the dailies sit alongside.
